Maya’s Stores is an independent café built around exceptional speciality coffee, award-winning hot chocolate, and ceremonial grade matcha. Thoughtfully sourced and simply served.
We began in 2020 with a converted horse box, travelling between locations and serving coffee alongside baked goods from local artisans. As we grew, so did our focus, refining what we do and carefully selecting coffees from some of the most respected producers around the world.
Today, Maya’s Stores has three cafés across Oxford, London and Leeds. While the settings have changed, the approach remains the same: considered sourcing, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing things properly.
Oxford
Oxford is where everything truly began. It was our first permanent space after the horse box and the point where Maya’s started to take real shape. What began as a small step forward quickly became the foundation of our community, with familiar faces returning daily and a rhythm that still defines us now. There is a sense of consistency here that we have carried into everything since, and it remains at the heart of how we think about our spaces and our coffee.

London
Our London café sits just moments from St Paul’s Cathedral, with one of the most recognisable parts of the city right on our doorstep. It is our largest space to date, with generous seating and an upstairs area that allows people to spend more time with us. Over time it has become more than just a place to stop for coffee, naturally opening itself up to evenings, tastings and small gatherings. It reflects a broader side of what Maya’s can be, while still holding onto the same attention to detail found in our smaller spaces.

Leeds
Leeds is the newest addition to Maya’s Stores and our smallest space so far. Having only recently opened, it still feels fresh, with a new energy that comes from starting again in a different city. The scale may be more compact, but the intention remains the same, with a focus on quality, care and creating something that feels considered from the very beginning. It marks the next step for us, and an opportunity to build a new community in a place that is still just getting to know us.
